My Perspective about sociology and social sciences.
Being a graduate student in sociology I have found myself in such circumstances when I had to answer this question" What is sociology."
After early studies in sociology I considered that it is not quite old subject and it has been started in the previous century. It was seeming to me such. As the major sociologists can be traced in this century.
But later studying more about this I found that sociology is not such a new concept and it has a long history.It has its foundations in the ancient philosopher's works. I have also come to know that Ibn-e-Khaldun is also considered as the early sociologist. Other people also focus on sociology.

I don't know what truth is but I have to say that it is important that it has been given importance in the theories of other people. I have read about it in the Adolf Hitler's book when he has written about state sociology.It has given me another perspective.
But question remains that what then sociology is!
If we start from the social world around us and individual then we can say that individual is an important in the social structure. But then anther question arises" What is the place of an individual in the social world?"What role an individual play in a sociological study.
It is getting more time.
Lets we start from a sociologist and individual.
Sociology is the study in which a person finds it place in the social system. A sociological study helps a person to gain an understanding of himself in the world around him. When the person analyzes carefully the various working forces in the society he finds about himself. It tells him about himself and he finds that he has some personality some place in this world which is defined by different working forces in the world.
It can also be said as sociological imagination.
Many knowledge revolve around human itself and it is easy to understand human through knowledge.
But the points which have been given by me at the top of the article suggest what!
As I have given the names of different people. It is now clear that it was in some form already but later it has been improved by coming in a readable form and it is functioning well at this time.
